| Bio: | I'm just a normal female in my 20s with a few quirks which I will mention later. I live in Los Angeles which is in California. I do love my city but at times I hate it. I guess you would call it a love\hate relationship. I love the diversity of this city and I love the weather. Our summers usually aren't terrible although we do get a month of unbearable heat. Our winters aren't terribly cold though we sadly do not get snow on a normal basis. Yes, we do get snow once in a blue moon. I believe the last time it snowed here was when I was 8 or 10 years old. I love our rainy season the most, I love rain with a passion and because we don't get it in large quantities, it makes it extra special. When we do get those storms, they are major and even more enjoyable. When the rain goes away the city becomes alive once again, the pollution and grime that LA is famous for goes away, even if just for a few hours. Los Angeles is clean after the rain as well as the wind (not the Santa Ana's). Wind, another love of mine. I don't like the Santa Ana's because those are hot and dry. No, I love the winds from the ocean and the winds from the north. I especially love it when we get storms that come down from the Arctic; lovely cold winds and freezing rain. More about Los Angeles later when I can put more thought into my city. For now; a little more about my likes. I'm very much into Harry Potter fanfiction. I enjoy reading fanfiction and I try to write some but I'm not very good at it. I used to be very much against fanfiction, I thought it was silly little teenagers ruining a wonderful book series. That is, until I read a few stories. I fell in love and I'm very much addicted to it! You look at a character a new way when you see somebody else's perspective of them. My musical choices aren't unique, people my age that say loving classical music is unique are delusional. There are many people my age that love classical. I grew up with parents that enjoy opera, classical, oldies, big band, and jazz. It's only natural that I would pick up those loves. Here's a list of my favorite genres of music; classical opera oldies big band Victorian era music some inspirational music (Nearer My God To Thee for example; you don't have to be of a specific faith to enjoy religious music). 90's alternative 80's music (U2, Police, Oingo Boingo, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, etc) modern classical (John Williams for example). I also enjoy folk music, some country, some jazz, and a lot of world music. I love Israeli music and Irish folk music; hell I love a lot of world music. Last but not least; movie music and especially Disney. I love Disney music (the older stuff, today so many Disney film scores are sung by Phil Collins which I don't like). I like to consider myself intelligent. I'm very much into history, certain cultures, meteorology, geology, zoology, paleontology, and writing. I would like to learn a few languages; Latin, Gaelic, German, and Hebrew are the main languages I would like to learn. I know a little bit of Latin and Hebrew but not enough to make me happy. | |||||||||
